The vessel begins as something natural and organic (wood) but is "subverted" by the harsh, artificial coating of metal. The transformation not only alters its aesthetic but also imbues it with new meaning—preserving the essence of wood while questioning its original function. This piece represents an interest in taking traditional materials and pushing them into new territories to spark communal dialogue.
